Dye or Tint Your Hairs?

So, let’s start with the question: What is the difference between coloring and tinting? A distinction is generally made between dyeing, intensive dyeing and permanent coloring. It would help if you had bleach or permanent color to go blonde as a brunette as hair cannot be lightened with tint. The method we ultimately choose depends on the desired target hair color.

Tint

A dye (durability level 1) is recommended to refresh the color and shine of the hair. The dye does not penetrate the hair structure but is located purely on the outside of the hair. Therefore, dyeing instead of dyeing is the most gentle technique for coloring hair. However, the hair cannot be significantly changed or lightened – one stain does not even cover gray hair. Advantage: There is no awkward application as the dye disappears after about 8-10 hair washes.

Intense Tint

Unlike regular color, an intensive color (durability level 2) contains the chemical ingredients and the cuticles are slightly open during application. This makes it more durable and lasts for around 28 washes. As with regular dyes, there is no reduction as the color gradually fades. With an intensive dye, the hair is artificially pigmented so that one shade can even be lighten the hairs.

Attention: Before you apply the new paint or coloration, inform the hairdresser how long it has been since the last shade. Separated color pigments can lead to unpleasant surprises.
